Transportation Jepara-Karimun Java-KMP Muria Need to Mend
Performance KMP Muria Motor Ship Passengers who are unable to pass through the waves as high as 3 meters, received harsh criticism.
Modes of transportation mainstay of Jepara-karimunjawa PP is considered not feasible and must immediately be replaced with new, more powerful ships sailed the waters of the Java Sea. Camat Karimunjawa Nuryanto assess the existing specifications, KMP Muria is not feasible should be operated at sea-Karimunjawa Jepara PP. According to him, KMP Muria better suited to operate in line crossings such as lakes or rivers. This is because the basic position of the vessel does not taper so blunt alias could not break waves at high tide.
"Not like KMP Muria is admitted by the officers of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Limited) Branch Jepara. They themselves say if KMP Muria roro type operated was inappropriate for the cruise-Karimunjawa Jepara. If for penyebarangan like Cilacap-Nusakambangan it still can, "said Nuryanto yesterday. According to him, the basic surface of the blunt KMP Muria inappropriately used to sail the high seas with waves over 3 feet and winds of 12-19 knots per hour, as happened in the Java Sea.
Especially during the winter westerlies extreme weather like today. "The central government should learn from KMP Muria who recently almost tenggelam.Kapal this should be immediately replaced," he explained. Nuryanto worry, if KMP Muria which has been operating since 2006 is retained, then every time the season westerlies karimunjawa society will always receive the effects terisolasi.Padahal if insulated manifold. Starting from the threat of starvation, shortage of fuel and LPG. "Whereas the citizens karimunjawa hangs the basic food and fuel from Jepara.
Without it, we might starve, "he said. He gave an example about the availability of fuel in Karimunjawa. According to him, if there is no reckless fishing boats crossed the ocean with waves above 2.5 meters, Karimunjawa will definitely fuel crisis. "Moreover, the fuel that can not be transported with the KMP Muria. The fishermen until kucingkucingan with police officers, "he regrets. Head of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Limited) Branch Jepara Zulkifli admitted that he had proposed to the center that provided the ship with a larger passenger capacity.
In addition, the new ship can also navigate lautan.Namun, matter is granted or rejected the proposal, no longer the authority, but the central government. "Meanwhile, we maximize the KMP Muria.Kalau weather does not allow the ship did not sail first. Bad weather conditions it is not every day, when conditions are calm we would sail again, "he concluded.
Jepara Tourism Revenues Spurred Further
Jepara tourism continue to be encouraged to contribute the maximum revenue. This year, the overall revenue target of Tourism and Culture (Disparbud) Jepara of Rp 1.929 billion. Next year, revenue increased to reach USD 2.045 billion.
Total revenues were derived from the object Kartini Beach, Beach Bandengan, Turtles Ocean Park (KOP), Long Island, Citadel Portuguese, Museum of Kartini, Ship Glass, Wisma Karimunjawa, and garbage fees. From all these objects, Kartini Beach and Coast Bandengan has contributed the most.
Head of Tourism Development and Management of Jepara Disparbud Zamroni Lestiaza explained, in 2011 Kartini Beach gets targeted revenue of Rp 595 million, and the Coast Bandengan of Rp 602 million. For 2012, revenue targets are two attractions that will increase around Rp 50 million.
''It's a target-setting at the beginning of the year. It is possible when there are additional changes to another target if its development possible,''he said on Tuesday (15/11).
The third object that gets a big target is located at the location of KOP Kartini Beach. At this year's targeted Rp 550 million and the next year rose to Rp 575 million.
Increased revenue
Zamroni added, Kartini's tourism potential of the Earth can still continue to be developed so that the target income can be increased. Condition, lajutnya, the addition of facilities at tourist resorts should continue to be made from year to year so that the interest of tourists continue to come awake.
Moreover, until now there has been no one tourist attraction in Jepara that gets the target to achieve billions of dollars. ''To be able to reach that figure may not be up to five years. If development continues to be that big of a target can be achieved. I myself feel jealous of some tourist sites outside Jepara that only ordinary income but billions,''he explained.
Mentioned about the potential of another object, Zamroni explains, there are some that target this year is still not being met. Mengkhawatrikan is one of the Portuguese fort. ''The target of Rp 115 million, but up to now will be about USD 95 million. Hopefully it can be achieved until the end of the year,''he hoped.
All About Jepara
1. History
In the sixteenth century, Jepara was an important port; in early 1513, its king, Yunnus led an attack against Portuguese Malacca. His force is said to have been made up of one hundred ships and 5000 men from Jepara and Palembang but was defeated. Between 1518 and 1521 he apparently ruled over Demak. The rule of Ratu ('Queen') Kalinyamat in the latter sixteenth century was, however, Jepara's most influential. Jepara again attacked Malacca in 1551 this time with Johor but was defeated, and in 1574 besieged Malacca for three months.
Jepara was an important port kingdom in the mid-sixteenth century, once ruled by Queen Kalinyamat. The colonial Dutch burned it to the ground twice in one year for breaking their trade monopoly. It was also the home of Kartini the Javanese aristocrat whose life and letters advanced educational opportunities for Indonesian women in the early twentieth century.
2. Population
The population is almost entirely Javanese and over 95% Muslim. In the 16th century, it was an independent kingdom, and was twice burned by the Dutch. As a pesisir ('coastal') area many traders from around the world landed in Jepara centuries ago. As a result, some of Jepara's resident have at part European, Chinese, Arabs, Malay or Bugis ancestry.
Jepara is a small town of about 100,000 and a district of slightly under a million on the north coast of Java, two hours by car from the provincial capital Semarang. Unlike Medan it has only recently become urban and is not an ethnic or religious mixing pot. Nearly 98% of Jeparans are from one ethnic group, the Javanese, and more than 95% are Muslim.
